Dr. Lisa Angelina has lived in Asheville with her husband and two daughters since 2004. Her family enjoys spending time together exploring Biltmore Estate, hiking and seeing shows at Diana Wortham Theatre. WNC Hearing and Audiology is a proud sponsor of the Diana Wortham Theatre hearing loop, which allows direct sound from the theatre’s stage to a person’s hearing aids.

Dr. Angelina graduated from San Diego State University in 1994 with her Master’s of Arts degree. She later obtained her Doctorate in Audiology from AT Still University. She has spent much of her career in audiology private practices and ENT offices doing diagnostic evaluations and hearing aid fittings. She has also gained insight from working with the VA Medical Center and with Buncombe County Schools.

Dr. Angelina really enjoys working with adults and has an easy way of helping people become comfortable and even excited about treating their hearing loss.

Dr. Mdzinarishvili (Mid-zee-nah-reesh-vee-lee), known by her patients as Dr. M, completed her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she conducted a systematic review assessing the effects of mindfulness-based stress reduction on tinnitus.

Look for her around town at a yoga class, drinking a great cup of coffee, or restoring antique furniture with her husband.

Sophia Hrassnigg, Au.D.

Dr. Hrassnigg (Ras-nig), completed her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she focused on the effects of patients hearing health and technology literacy.

She is fluent in German and Spanish and conversational in American Sign Language. On the weekends you can find her reading a book at the park, at a yoga studio, or spending time with her foster animals.

Mia Angelina is the first point of contact for our patients and is the sweet voice on the other side of the phone, or the friendly face at the front desk when you visit our office.

She can answer any questions that you have and will happily direct your call us to the right person if needed. She has a bright personality and provides outstanding care and service to every one of our patients!
